Experience track domination with the 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 SP2. This superbike, the culmination of Ducati’s latest releases, promises unparalleled performance on the track. Preorders were offered to secure yours for a mid-2022 delivery, starting at $39,500.
Revamped for 2022, Ducati’s formidable V4 undergoes a significant overhaul, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency, powertrain, chassis, and rider interface. Taking it a step further, the V4 SP2 boasts enhanced braking, reduced weight, premium materials, and swift trackday readiness.
In the braking department, the SP2 sports new Brembo Stylema R calipers at the front gripping twin 330mm discs. A Brembo MCS master cylinder offers customizable brake feel, while a remote adjuster allows lever position adjustments via a knob on the left grip.
The race-ready gearbox is augmented with a lighter final drive, 520 chain, and an STM-Evo dry clutch derived from Ducati’s SBK bikes, offering anti-hopping function during downshifts and smoother off-throttle operation. The SP2 also features Ducati’s Quick Shifter.
Öhlins suspension graces both front and rear, comprising a pressurized NPX 25/30 fork and a TTX 36 shock, both fully adjustable via electronic compression and rebound damping.
Lightweight five-spoke carbon fiber wheels shed weight compared to the standard V4, wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires. Additionally, the SP2 flaunts specially designed Rizoma footpegs in anodized aluminum, complemented by carbon fiber heel guards.
Powered by the same 1130 Desmosedici Stradale V-4 engine as the standard V4, performance can be further enhanced with the Ducati Performance race exhaust from Akrapovič. Four power modes—Full, High, Medium, and Low—allow riders to fine-tune performance output, while four ride modes—Race A, Race B, Sport, and Street—offer varying levels of intervention from Ducati’s electronic aids, including traction control and wheelie control, among others. All operational data is displayed on a dashboard equipped with a Track Evo mode akin to the interface used on MotoGP machines.
Standard features include a GPS system for automated lap timing and the Ducati Data Analyzer for in-depth ride data analysis. The optional Slick Ducati Performance Software offers Ducati Traction Control curves, the ability to memorize coordinates of up to five different tracks, and five additional ride modes.
Clad in a distinctive Winter Test livery blending matte black with matte carbon, red accents, and brushed aluminum, each SP2 will be individually numbered, displayed on the machined steering head. Additionally, each SP2 comes with a kit for quick track adaptation, including billet aluminum caps for mirror removal, a license plate removal kit, and an open carbon clutch cover.
